Global FC

Global FC (Futbol Community) is a soccer club based in Kansas City, Missouri that aims to bridge the gap between refugee and immigrant youth and their local community. The club provides soccer training, mentoring, education, and social services to its members, who come from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

The club was founded in 2014 as a community development project in response to the growing refugee crisis around the world. Global FC believes that soccer can be a powerful tool for social integration, empowerment, and personal development. The club’s motto is “Using soccer as a vehicle for transformative change”.

Global FC operates under four core values: respect, integrity, excellence, and diversity. The club strives to create a safe and supportive environment where every player is valued and respected. Moreover, the club celebrates and embraces the diversity of its members, who represent over 30 countries and speak over 40 languages.

Global FC offers various programs and services to its players and their families, such as soccer leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments, scholarships, academic support, English classes, health education, and immigration assistance. The club also partners with local schools, organizations, and businesses to provide more opportunities and resources for its participants. Some of the club’s partners include Sporting Kansas City, Children’s Mercy Hospital, and the Kansas City Public Library.
