Pre-Academy and younger ages

The Pre-Academy focuses on U5–U8 players; for the current season label that lines up with 2018–2021 birth years. Sessions emphasize ball mastery, athletic development, and 1v1 confidence in a fun, supportive setting, while weaving in the club’s six core values—excellence, tenacity, honor, innovation, community, and sacrifice—on and off the field. In St. George, Pre-Academy trains at Little Valley Elementary; Salt Lake programming is centered in the West Jordan area.

Competitive tracks and older ages

Older age groups follow the academy pathway into high school programming. SABA traveling teams target dedicated student-athletes who want to compete in major U.S. college showcases so recruiters can see their progress in person. Teams generally train two to three nights per week depending on age, younger groups stay more local for league play, and older sides add regional travel as competition level rises.

Tryouts, registration, and what to expect

Annual tryouts run from May into June. The 2026 schedule includes Salt Lake City sessions at the West Jordan Soccer Complex (May 18–22 for U9–U12) plus additional Salt Lake blocks for U13–U19 (May 26–29, field to be announced), and a St. George block scheduled June 1–5 for U9–U19 with the field still to be confirmed. Tryouts cover U9–U19 boys and girls teams for families choosing those competitive rosters.

Tryouts are interactive: coaches run academy-style technical work, small-sided games, and realistic match moments so they can judge technique, decision-making, work rate, and coachability—not just weekend scrimmage snapshots. Every player registers online before arriving, checks in at the branded 7 Elite HQ tent for their complex, receives a numbered tryout shirt, and should bring cleats, shin guards, water, and training-appropriate clothing (returning players may wear club kit). Sessions usually last 60–90 minutes; parents may watch from the sidelines without entering the field. Placement communication typically arrives within a few days, and tryouts cost $20 per player, covering both sessions, the shirt, admin work, and field rental.

Mission, coaching quality, and access

The mission is to deliver a world-class youth coaching experience that develops capable footballers and strong people, with a long-term vision of growing love for the game, leadership, and lifelong habits. Coaches continue their own education through U.S. Soccer, UEFA, the English FA, and Premier League–style environments so training methods stay current. Financial aid is available; families can ask the club about eligibility and how to apply.

St. George families

St. George runs Pre-Academy at Little Valley Elementary and anchors the June tryout window for U9–U19, alongside the Salt Lake City and Weber/Davis activity that rounds out the statewide academy calendar.
