About

Addison United Soccer Club (AUSC) is a volunteer-led, family-based nonprofit founded in 1994 for youth around Bristol, Middlebury, and Vergennes. It has grown into one of Vermont’s largest community clubs, with boys and girls ages six through nineteen wearing the badge for towns across Addison County. The through-line is simple: serious skill growth and personal development first—teams win plenty, but not by trading away learning, teamwork, or how young people mature on and off the field.

What players experience

Sunday indoor training for travel-aged players (U12 and up) starts each January. The club moves outside in late April or early May for spring, with at least two weeknight practices once fields open. League play runs in the Vermont Soccer League (VSL) from the first May weekend into mid-June, usually one match per weekend, plus optional in-state tournaments when families want more competition. Coaches and staff aim to know every player by name and keep the sideline welcoming—no hard sell or empty promises.

Juniors (grades K–2)

Juniors keeps soccer local for the youngest players—weekly training inside Addison County, winter indoor and spring outdoor blocks, and weekend jamborees that mix AUSC teams with friends from clubs such as Atlético Middlebury. Winter 2026 is $95 per player; spring 2026 is another $95, or $160 if families bundle both. Typical spring slots include Wednesdays 5:30–6:30 p.m. at Bristol Rec fields and Mondays 5:30–6:30 p.m. near Ferrisburgh Central School, with families picking the site that fits best. Josh Romond leads the program; reach him at director@addisonunitedvt.com for Juniors-specific questions.

Travel (grades 3–12)

Travel pulls county players onto competitive rosters with twice-weekly spring training, VSL matches on Sundays, and one or two June tournaments depending on age. Away games skew toward Chittenden County but can land anywhere in Vermont when the schedule demands. Bonus winter indoor training ($175 all ages) runs Sunday afternoons early January through late March at Vergennes Union High School’s gym; travel players are expected to attend when they can and keep up with the “AUSC Technical Homework” video series between sessions. Starting in 2026 the club is shifting toward school-year team models; several travel age groups already carried waitlists for that cycle, so early registration and a note to the director matter for an open seat.

2026 travel fees and uniforms

2026 travel sign-up costs $275 for U10 boys and girls (grades 3–4, 7v7)—bonus winter training, one spring tournament, VSL league games, and a practice shirt included, uniform kit extra. U12 (grades 5–6, 9v9) is $375 with two tournaments; U14 (grades 7–8, 11v11) is $450 with two tournaments; high school (grades 9–12, 11v11) is $425 with one tournament. That same year, girls high-school travel narrows to younger HS brackets, while U19 girls may move to a summer Vermont Women’s Soccer League team instead of spring VSL. Plan on buying uniforms separately—about $75 for a kit built to last several seasons, with everyone ordering a new full kit in 2026. Siblings: enter EXTRAKID at checkout for $20 off each additional player.
