What the club offers

Competitive travel programming is organized into boys teams and girls teams from U8 through U19 based out of Concord, Clayton, Martinez, and Pleasant Hill, plus a Boys and Girls Delta program for the same age bands in Pittsburg and Antioch. DVFC matches players to teams and league platforms across a wide competitive spectrum, including ECNL-RL club-versus-club play and NorCal Premier N1 team-based competition designed for high-level Northern California matchups.

Wolves Futsal is an integrated indoor program for birth years 2018 through 2012 with September-through-June (or July for teams chasing nationals) seasons, three to four trainings per month on Monday, Friday, or Sunday, and at least two tournaments per team. Capelli Sport supplies official uniforms, apparel, and equipment for the club.

Development approach and standards

DVFC centers on player development on and off the field with a community-centric, student-athlete focus. The club was among the first Players First-certified organizations in the region, signaling commitment to coach education, player health and safety, and a higher development standard. Coaching leadership pairs a defined methodology with professional staff experience so training emphasizes technical growth, decision-making, and long-term pathway planning rather than short-term results alone.

Training locations and field operations

Travel teams train and compete on fields across Concord, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Pittsburg, and Antioch. Futsal training rotates between outdoor courts at Tesoro Arena on Arnold Industrial Way in Concord and indoor courts at Universal Sports Academy on Ferry Street in Martinez—the same address as the club’s administrative mailing location. Grass fields follow city rain-closure rules while turf surfaces typically stay open in wet weather; DVFC maintains a field-status chart families can check before driving to practice when storms hit the East Bay.

Tryouts, interest forms, and seasons

Families exploring a roster spot can submit the player interest form when the club advertises openings across age groups. Competitive tryout registration runs through the club’s Byga tryout signup flow, and futsal tryouts use a separate registration link with times and locations announced each cycle. Because schedules shift by birth year and league assignment, confirming the correct session before travel is the safest way to avoid a missed evaluation window.
