What the club offers

Top girls teams at U13 through U19 compete in the Girls Academy League, with second teams in the same age band playing in Girls Academy Aspire for regional league play, national-style showcases, and a clear bridge for emerging players. Top boys teams at U13 through U19 play in the MLS Next Academy Division, with secondary boys sides in the same ages competing in the USYS National League Club-Based Premier Division toward national-league playoffs and championships. A U12 Girls Pre-Academy group and younger boys tracks such as Pre-MLS Next sit ahead of those national platforms where the club stages them.

Galaxy SC Select is the club’s traditional team model for families outside the Girls Academy and boys national-league tracks: boys and girls teams from U7 through U19 are grouped into Blue, Black, or White rosters (with occasional additional color names for specific birth years) and scheduled at national, regional, or local levels depending on age and competitive level.

Development philosophy and coaching

The mission centers on skills, sportsmanship, and preparing athletes for whatever level they aim to reach next—high school, college, Olympic Development Program, or professional soccer—without sacrificing patience for individual growth. Coaching staff combine USSF and NSCAA credentials with playing backgrounds that span college and professional soccer, and they stay attached to teams across multiple seasons so instruction stays consistent. Practices emphasize organized technical and tactical work, with individual technique treated as the foundation for team success.

Tryouts and registration

The club runs annual team tryouts across every program tier. Families register players for tryouts inside Sprocket Sports: new users create a club-branded account, add players and guardians, then choose the program that matches the player’s level and complete the guided registration steps. When the main tryout cycle has ended, players may still request individual evaluations arranged through the coaching office.
