About
Los Gatos United Soccer Club serves families in Los Gatos and the surrounding South Bay with a full ladder from introductory recreation through elite competitive tracks. The club emphasizes player development from grassroots to elite, with coaching focused on soccer fundamentals and character traits such as confidence, communication, teamwork, responsibility, discipline, and respect.
Competitive program
The competitive program welcomes boys and girls ages 6–18 who want a higher training load and league play. Teams train and compete year-round. In 2025–2026, Pre 7v7 covers birth years 2019–2020 with about two to three sessions per week, fall and spring in-house league play, and roughly fifteen to twenty matches per year with minimal travel. COMP 7v7 (birth years 2018–2016) runs about three sessions weekly with roughly twenty-five to thirty matches and two to three tournaments. COMP 9v9 (2015–2014) and COMP 11v11 (2013–2007) stay near three sessions per week with roughly thirty to forty matches and two to four tournaments; travel ranges from minimal to moderate by age. The ECNL track (2013–2007) runs July through June with about three to four sessions weekly, forty or more matches per year, four to six tournaments, and travel expected, including classroom sessions, recorded games, injury-prevention work, two in-person evaluations, and college-placement support. Older competitive groups also include NPL and ECNL Regional League options alongside NorCal Premier league play. Boys ECNL sides compete in the NorCal ECNL division from U13 through U19.
Recreational and community soccer
Recreational programming is year-round for ages 4–17 and is built for multi-sport families. Outdoor leagues run in fall and spring; a winter futsal program and weekly summer camps run from June through August. U6–U12 teams play in a local in-house league each fall and spring, while U14–U19 recreational teams compete in the NorCal Super Rec League. Spring rec includes eight league games, an end-of-season tournament, optional team registration, one parent-led practice per week, and one optional competitive-staff technical training. Practice typically begins in early March with a built-in break during spring break week; league games for U6–U8 usually run from early March through late April, and U10–U12 from early March into May, with most games on Saturdays. Fall recreational league is scheduled from mid-August through early November, with registration opening in May.
Camps, clinics, and specialty training
Spring and summer offerings include a spring break finishing camp, advanced player clinics for ages 10–17, Jr. Elite skill development for ages 6–9, a summer soccer camp for ages 4–12, a weekly goalkeeper academy for ages 10–17, and a speed, strength, and fitness program for ages 13–18. Spring Break Finishing in 2026 is scheduled Monday through Friday in early April at Creekside Turf Park on University Road. Summer camps and clinics are scheduled to begin weekly in early June with half-day and extended-day options and programming split by level.
