Programs and age groups

Competitive boys programming includes MLS NEXT teams, the MLS NEXT Academy Division, pre-MLS NEXT and NPL pathways, and the MLS NEXT Allstate Homegrown Division, which uses calendar birth-year registration (January 1 through December 31). Girls Academy squads compete from U-13 through U-19 with year-round league play, showcases, and national events. Families comparing pathways can also explore pre-Girls Academy training, private Ajax group sessions, summer camps, and a girls college identification camp.

Recreational soccer spans U6 through U17 in fall and spring seasons built around volunteer coaches, teammate requests, and Saturday match play. TOPSoccer, an adult coed league, and Just for Kicks add inclusive options beyond traditional travel teams. The club emphasizes character, leadership, and college advancement alongside technical development.

Training, facilities, and coaching

Licensed coaches hold USSF or UEFA A, B, C, or D credentials and work in a player-centered environment with full-size grass fields and stadium-quality match venues. Recreational games and many tryout blocks take place at Mary Grogan Community Park; competitive teams follow rigorous training calendars that can include multiple sessions per week plus weekend league or interleague matches for MLS NEXT and Girls Academy rosters.

Tryouts and competitive placement

2026–27 competitive tryouts run in multiple windows at Mary Grogan, including May 4–7, May 18–21, and June 2–4. Families register through the club’s BYGA team portal; separate signup flows cover general competitive tryouts and MLS NEXT Homegrown Division evaluations. After a roster offer, players complete BYGA registration, age verification, waivers, and an initial club deposit before training or matches.

Recreational registration and fees

Fall 2026 recreational registration opens with early-bird pricing March 16 through May 15: $189 for U6–U8 (seven games plus uniform shirt, shorts, and socks) and $199 for U10–U17 (seven games, end-of-season tournament, and uniform). Regular registration May 16 through June 30 is $219 (U6–U8) and $229 (U10–U17); late registration from July 1 is $239 and $249 when space remains. A $10 sibling discount applies per additional child on the same family account. U6 players must be four years old by August 1, 2026. Scholarship applications for financial aid are due June 21, 2026.

Fall seasons open August 29 for U6–U8 and September 12 for U10–U17, with girls and boys end-of-season tournaments in late October and early November. Top U8–U14 finishers may advance to District 8 Cup play in Tracy November 14–15, 2026.

Competitive dues and uniforms

Competitive club dues fund professional coaching, field rental, league and tournament entry, referees, insurance, and administration. Families may pay in full (with possible discounts), use monthly or quarterly installment plans, or apply for limited financial assistance. Each competitive player purchases an official home and away kit with shorts, socks, and a training top after team placement. Refunds are generally unavailable after registration except in approved cases such as injury or relocation.
