About
Palo Alto Soccer Club (PASC) is a nonprofit youth soccer organization in Palo Alto, California, founded in 1977. The club brings together more than eighty-five teams, over twelve hundred members, and more than forty coaches under directors of coaching and professional staff who oversee team development and coaching quality.
What families find here
Competitive club soccer spans boys and girls from roughly ages five through nineteen, with in-house four-v-four for ages five–six, NorCal competitive seven-v-seven and nine-v-nine in the younger bands, and eleven-v-eleven from about thirteen through nineteen. Premier-level NPL teams represent the highest commitment tier, with three training sessions per week plus league play and tournaments for much of the year; competitive teams train and compete on a strong developmental track with somewhat longer off-season breaks than premier sides. Since fall 2016, national-platform boys MLS NEXT and Girls Academy programming has operated through the affiliated Silicon Valley Soccer Academy (SVSA), while PASC continues to anchor long-term player development and club structure.
Youth programs and pathways
Beyond travel teams, PASC runs programming for ages four through nineteen, including Junior Trees youth development (ages four–fifteen), recreational league, after-school soccer through fifth grade, in-house soccer for ages five–six, summer camps for ages eight–thirteen, futsal training, a goalkeeper academy for ages seven–nineteen, and adult league soccer. Parent education and age-specific curricula are part of the stated development approach, with emphasis on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological growth and on preparing select players for college exposure.
Values and coaching support
Club values are summarized as character, passion, development, leadership, and preparation—building respect, teamwork, discipline, creativity within a team, collaboration across teams, sportsmanship, and pathways toward higher education for motivated athletes. PASC encourages coaches to pursue licensing and external education and operates a reimbursement policy that can cover up to one hundred percent of approved course fees.
