What ages and program levels does Southeast Minneapolis Soccer Club offer?Competitive travel teams run from U9 through U19 for both boys and girls inside Twin Cities Soccer League, split into a shorter fall outdoor season for U9–U14 and a longer winter-through-summer season for U9–U19. Lil Dribblers serves ages four through seven, five-a-side offers a playful small-sided option, and SE Select gives ages twelve through eighteen an extra winter training and league track at the National Sports Center.
Where does the club train and play?Outdoor practices concentrate at Riverside Park, Howe Elementary, and Cooper Elementary in southeast Minneapolis. League games can take families across the metro. Winter preparation uses dome training before the spring and summer segment. SE Select league play is centered at the National Sports Center.
When can families register for competitive seasons?Fall registration for U9–U14 typically opens in late July and continues into early August, including August 1 starts the club uses. The winter-through-summer season registers from early November through mid-February—including November 1 starts—so rosters and Twin Cities Soccer League entries are set before dome training starts. When a window is open, families follow the competitive soccer registration links the club enables for that season.
What do club soccer fees cost for a year? For the 2025–2026 winter-through-summer cycle, early-bird club fees before November 15 are $550 for U9–U10, $660 for U11–U12, and $770 for U13–U19, each increasing by $50 after the deadline. Club fees bundle fields, insurance, league and player registration, referees, and one club-covered tournament. Uniforms, optional warmups, paid coaches, and extra travel run through separate team budgets that often range from $0 to about $400 per player. New uniforms run about $125 for the core kit bundle. SE Select charges a separate $800 team registration fee for players who make that roster, due around mid-September.
Does the club offer financial help?Need-based awards can pay part of club fees only. Families still cover remaining club balances, all team fees, and uniforms. Submit the scholarship application through the club’s financial assistance process; email clubcoordinator@sesoccer.org if you need help after about a week without a reply, or executivedirector@sesoccer.org for executive-level questions. SE Select also offers scholarships and payment plans tied to its tryout registration.
What is the club’s mission or coaching approach? The mission focuses on cooperation, competition, teamwork, and empowering traveling players to reach their goals while building community pride and belonging. Values highlight fun, sportsmanship, welcoming teammates, hard work, and family support. Teams default to volunteer coaching with optional paid coaches funded through team fees, and programming stays competitive while still fitting many multi-sport schedules.
How can families contact coaches or staff?Email Director of Coaching Jessica Davis at doc@sesoccer.org for competitive soccer questions, Assistant Director of Coaching Rachelle Ihme at adoc@sesoccer.org for SE Select, clubcoordinator@sesoccer.org for coordinator support and scholarship follow-up, executivedirector@sesoccer.org for executive matters, and board@sesoccer.org for board topics. Registration and team workflows run through SportsEngine once families enroll.
