What ages and program levels does Walnut Creek Surf offer?Recreation serves U5–U19 boys and girls in a fall season without tryouts. Fall and Winter Select covers U10, U12, U14, and U16 age bands depending on the season, with league play beyond recreation but lighter commitment than competitive soccer. Competitive teams run U8–U19 with tryouts, multiple teams per age group in younger brackets, a U8 Academy, NorCal Premier and NPL league play, ECNL Regional League opportunities at older ages, camps and clinics, Winter Development Academy, TOPSoccer, and a Goalkeeper Academy for competitive players.

Where does Walnut Creek Surf train or play?The club is based in Walnut Creek and operates across the East Bay. Recreation stays local within the club’s house program. Select and competitive teams train locally and travel for league and tournament games, with most Select away trips under an hour from Walnut Creek and competitive schedules extending through the Bay Area, California, and national events when rosters qualify.

When are Select tryouts or registration, and how do families sign up?Select tryouts usually take place in late May or early June and again in mid-November before Fall and Winter seasons. Spring Select uses player identification during Fall and Winter instead of a separate tryout. Winter tryouts are limited to players who were in the prior Fall Select or Fall Recreation season.
