About

Bethlehem Soccer Club (BSC) has trained and developed youth players across the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas since 1986. The club pairs a foundational in-house Academy for younger children with competitive travel teams that train and compete across fall, winter, and spring plus tournament play. Coaching stresses technique, tactics, fitness, and mental toughness alongside sportsmanship, loyalty, and respect for officials, teammates, and opponents.

What the club offers

The Academy focuses on fun, individual ball skills, and game basics for U6 and U8 groups, with a new skill theme each week and no recorded scores or standings at that level. U6 practices run Wednesday evenings and U8 on Friday evenings, both from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at First Responders Park on Airport Road in Hanover Township. U6 matches stay in-house in a small-sided format capped at 5v5. U7 and U8 players train in-house and may also play indoor or travel 5v5 depending on the cycle. Fall Academy games run on Saturday mornings between about 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.; spring games move to Sundays, generally around midday. Travel soccer operates as a full-year program with experienced training staff, goalkeeper-specific work, and tactical and technical development. Travel teams compete in EDP and LVYSL. BSC also maintains an affiliation pathway with HEX FC for families pursuing the highest national-level platforms available through that partner. Travel uniforms and fan gear for travel sides come through Capelli Sport as the club’s supplier.

Where teams train and play

Academy play and travel matches for U9 through U12 use First Responders Park in North Bethlehem, entered near Village View Park at 4025 Airport Road, Allentown, PA 18109—GPS often works best under Village View Park because the new complex may not appear everywhere yet. From Route 22, take the Schoenersville Road exit north, turn right onto 987 north, then take the first left onto the unmarked road; the park entrance sits at the dead end. U13 and older teams train and play at Moravian Academy, 4313 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Tryouts, seasons, and registration

Spring Academy registration opens ahead of a season that typically runs from late March or early April into early or mid-June, with Sunday games and practices centered on First Responders Park during the spring block. Travel tryouts for boys and girls U9 through U15 are planned across two April weeks, with girls and boys assigned to separate weeks so families know which block to attend. Age groups follow birth-year alignment; U.S. Soccer age-group calendar changes beginning in 2026–2027 apply to future seasons as directed by the federation. Families enroll through Otto Sport when Bethlehem Soccer Club opens seasonal registration.

Player health and club philosophy

St. Luke’s University Health Network serves as BSC’s primary sports medicine partner for player care. The club’s mission emphasizes competitive travel programming and strong in-house development, building enjoyment and challenge at every level while keeping team spirit and integrity on par with results.
