About

Dallas Surf Soccer Club is a Surf Soccer Nation member organization serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex with more than 100 teams, five geographic regions, and pathways from a child’s first touches through MLS NEXT and Girls Academy competition. Boys and girls can progress through Lil Surfers introduction sessions, Junior Academy and Academy foundation phases, competitive Select teams, and elite platforms without changing clubs as ambitions grow.

Programs and player pathways

Lil Surfers (U4–U7) uses non–team-based sessions focused on movement, coordination, and ball mastery to build confidence and enjoyment. Junior Academy (U6–U7) introduces a first team environment with small-sided games and structured decision making. Academy (U8–U10) is the foundation phase where players sharpen technical quality and game understanding within a team structure. Select (U11–U19) offers competitive local soccer across multiple levels and DFW locations so athletes train and play at the tier that fits their current stage. Elite Boys (U11–U19) targets the MLS NEXT pathway with higher training demands and national exposure; Elite Girls (U11–U19) follows the Girls Academy pathway with the same performance standards. Tryouts are open to all, and the club places players on teams aligned with development stage and goals.

Training geography across DFW

Teams and coaches are organized across five regions so families can train closer to home. West covers Keller, Grapevine, Southlake, and Westlake; North includes Allen, Frisco, and The Colony; Central spans North Dallas, Highland Park, and Farmers Branch; South serves Burleson, Fort Worth, and Mansfield; East extends the footprint on the metro’s eastern side. A team directory sorts rosters by age group, gender, location, league, and coach for families comparing options.

Coaching, culture, and Surf affiliation

The club’s mission is to create a best-of-the-best soccer environment for players, parents, and coaches in DFW, with a vision to be Texas’s benchmark for player-centered development rooted in Kaizen and joy in the game. Daily culture is shaped by four values—Standards (Kaizen, accountability, excellence), Unity (community, selflessness, trust), Respect (integrity, character, humility), and Fearless (courage, resilience, confidence). Training emphasizes decision making, problem solving, and creativity in game-like settings so players become more independent over time. As part of Surf Soccer Nation, Dallas Surf connects locally strong programs to a national network of more than 60 Surf clubs, professional coaching standards, and elite league memberships including MLS NEXT and Girls Academy.

Tryouts, open training, and registration

2026–27 tryouts welcome U6–U19 boys and girls across DFW. Elite identification sessions begin April 15, 2026; competitive tryouts begin May 11, 2026. Families register by birth-year band through the club’s online registration flow (PlayMetrics). MLS NEXT prospects can contact the MLS NEXT director at zbadii@dallassurf.com; Girls Academy prospects can reach the GA director at nheisserer@dallassurf.com. Players not currently registered with another competitive club, or athletes U10 and younger, may attend free open training sessions with Dallas Surf coaches to experience the environment before the season. For team placement questions, use the team directory or free-training signup rather than the general inquiry form.

2026–27 dues and kits

Academy families pay $800 for six months of dues plus a $75 registration fee, with a $384 kit package (two jerseys, training top, shorts, and socks). Dues cover licensed coaching, field rental, administration, technology, and the training app; players also cover league, tournament, referee, and NTX/US club registration fees as applicable. Select annual dues are $3,450 and include licensed coaching, fields, administration, NTX or US Club registration, college programming, technology, and one league fee; the Select kit is $479. MLS NEXT and Girls Academy annual dues are $3,600 with three training cycles per week. Tournament, referee, and extra league costs remain the player’s responsibility at Select and elite levels. The club presents these figures as all-in club costs with no hidden kit or dues charges.

How families can get started

Match the player’s age and ambition to Lil Surfers, Academy, Select, or elite tracks, explore regional teams in the directory, register for 2026–27 tryouts or spring ID sessions, or book a free open training visit. General questions unrelated to roster placement go through the club’s general inquiry form; coaching applicants use the coaching interest form with licenses and experience noted.
