What ages does Murray Soccer Club serve?Competitive programming serves players about ages 6 through 19. Grassroots Academy is specifically for birth years 2018, 2019, and 2020.

About
Murray Soccer Club formed in 1996 for the Murray City and Salt Lake Valley youth soccer community. The club is open to all Utah residents and offers a competitive environment for players roughly ages 6 through 19, with emphasis on individual player development and local community ties.
Competitive programming
Murray Soccer Club is a competitive youth organization where the player comes first. After the Grassroots Academy path, graduating players can move into Murray Soccer Club Academy sides that compete in Utah Youth Soccer Association leagues against other UYSA member clubs.
Grassroots Academy
Grassroots Academy targets boys and girls born in 2018, 2019, and 2020 who want extra technical work and small-sided play. There are no tryouts; registration is open enrollment. Training runs year-round in seasonal blocks: summer, fall, winter (two segments), and spring, with two weekday sessions per week in summer, fall, and spring and one weekday session per week in winter. For 2025–26 the club adds structured Saturday mornings at the Murray facility, mixing full-field technical work with 4v4 and 7v7 games in fall and spring. Summer programming includes participation in the in-house Max Cup, scheduled July 30–August 2, 2025 on the Grassroots calendar. Fall and spring use in-house Saturday games rather than an outside league for that cohort.
Locations and indoor training
Primary indoor training is at the Murray Arena facility at 168 W 4800 S, Murray, UT 84107 (synthetic turf; indoor or outdoor shoes allowed). Outdoor training may use Viewmont Elementary, 745 W Anderson Ave, Murray, UT 84123.
Grassroots fees and uniforms
Grassroots can be paid by season or upfront for all four seasons. Current rate schedules show $150 per season discounted to $90, or $510 for the full year discounted to $310, with part of the program offset through fundraising such as the Max Cup. Pre-Academy players order a training uniform kit through Soccer.com’s Grassroots collection.
