Programs and age groups

Teams are organized across standard youth bands from U6–U8 through U16–U19, with updated age-group assignments for the coming cycle—families should confirm a player’s correct bracket before registering for tryouts. The youngest groups include an academy fee component, while older competitive teams carry higher club tuition that reflects travel-league play. Multi-roster arrangements are available after required paperwork is completed.

Winter training is included in club fees for every age group, giving year-round touchpoints without a separate winter add-on at the club level. Team coaches set practice frequency and field locations after tryouts and registration; the club also highlights a new indoor training facility for player development.

Tryouts and registration

Tryouts for the 2026–2027 season are open now. Registration runs through Ollie with a $15 tryout fee due at sign-up. Tryouts for all levels are held in May, with exact dates and locations posted as the season approaches; sessions may run one or two days. Utah Youth Soccer rules require clubs to hold tryouts on a coordinated calendar, so families should complete Ollie registration early to secure a slot.

After acceptance, every player must register with Utah Youth Soccer and pay league fees through Affinity. Club fees and uniform orders are paid separately through Ollie. New and returning players alike need the 2026–2027 uniform kit because the club is in year one of a two-year uniform cycle.

Fees and payment policies

2026–2027 club fees vary by age band. Published club tuition runs $350 for U6–U8, $680 for U9, $1,000 for U10, $1,160 for U11–U12, $1,460 for U13–U15, and $1,310 for U16–U19, plus separate admin, field, academy (younger ages), referee, and Utah Youth Soccer league charges billed through Affinity. Families may pay club fees in full or set up a monthly plan in Ollie with a card on file.

Club fees are non-refundable except in limited cases such as a season-ending injury or a move out of the area, subject to club discretion. Utah Real FC enforces a no pay, no play policy—accounts more than 30 days late incur a $25 fee, and players more than 60 days behind are suspended from practices and games until balances are current. Referee fees, tournaments, coach travel, optional winter indoor leagues, and team equipment pools (benches, balls, film) are handled per team through coaches or team managers.

Financial aid applications for 2026–2027 are available with a deadline of June 12, 2026; awards are limited and require review after submission.

Playing style and coaching

On the field, Utah Real FC emphasizes building out of the back under pressure, combination play with multiple attackers involved, and patient decision-making when the game calls for it. The coaching staff includes co-owners Jeff Buttars and Francisco Escobar as head coaches and Sean Hill leading boys teams, with the club prioritizing coaches who show commitment, responsibility, and a drive to improve their squads.
