About

Washington Premier Football Club (WPFC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth soccer organization based in Puyallup and Pierce County, Washington. The club brings together the legacies of FC Royals and FC United and operates a privately owned training and match complex while affiliating with U.S. Club Soccer, Washington Youth Soccer, and U.S. Youth Soccer as part of the national pathway under the U.S. Soccer Federation.

What the club offers

Programming spans national-level girls and boys ECNL, ECNL Regional League, and Washington Youth Soccer Regional Club League (RCL) premier teams; a Jr. RCL under-eight bridge for ages five through seven with year-round, fall-only, or spring-only tracks; Washington United recreational soccer for boys and girls ages four through fourteen in Puyallup and South Hill; year-round goalkeeper training with dedicated instructors; a college-placement support track for older players; and academy and camp-style training tied into membership benefits such as discounted winter academy access for some junior pathways. Five full-time directors oversee ECNL, ECNL RL, RCL, recreational and select programming, and the junior program. Teams train and host home play at the club complex on 44th Street East in Puyallup, with additional rented fields when recreational division counts require it.

Washington United recreation

Washington United is the recreational arm: it targets newcomers and neighbors who want a fun, low-pressure season with volunteer parent coaches, Washington Youth Soccer affiliation, and staff-supported coach education. Age groups run from micro soccer through under-fourteen, with older boys teams only where roster demand exists (families with older groups can email washingtonunitedrec@gmail.com for options). The fall season runs from early September through November, practices begin in August twice weekly, and micro teams play an internal club schedule while under-seven through under-twelve join the PCSA home league and older teams may slot into South Sound United League schedules when offered. Registration for a given year typically opens April first, with tiered fees by birth year and early, standard, and late windows through the summer; for 2025, early-through-late registration tiers ranged from about one hundred forty-five dollars for micro early registration up to about two hundred sixty-five dollars for under-sixteen late registration, including uniform pieces, insurance, referees, field costs, equipment, and a ball. Returning players who register before May first are guaranteed a spot on their prior team when applicable. Families receive a fifteen percent discount on Washington Premier fall academy for Washington United players.

Jr. RCL under-eight

Jr. RCL under-eight focuses on ball mastery and movement for ages five through seven, with paid coaching, Techne Futbol app access, regional club league competition, and optional tournament blocks depending on the package. After spring evaluation sessions at the complex, staff place players in Jr. RCL under-eight or premier under-eight as fits development. A non-refundable evaluation fee applies when registering for the tryout block. Year-round option one runs about ten months with roughly fifteen to seventeen league games, two to four tournaments for many enrollees, two trainings per week for much of the cycle, a short summer break, and a twenty percent winter academy discount, priced at one thousand five hundred twenty dollars on a deposit plus eight monthly auto drafts. Fall-only option two costs one thousand two hundred fifty dollars with roughly six months of training and eight to twelve league games plus two or three summer tournaments with entry bundled in the club fee. Spring-only option three costs six hundred fifty dollars for about three months, roughly ten league games, and one tournament, with a supplemental tryout window typically in early December. Each Jr. RCL family completes three volunteer hours supporting junior-hosted events at the club. Uniforms are a separate family purchase with ordering instructions after team formation.

Premier ECNL, ECNL RL, and RCL

Older players try out for ECNL, ECNL RL, or RCL teams that feed state, regional, and national calendars. Girls ECNL has been part of the club since 2010 and emphasizes elite training and college exposure alongside league and postseason play. Premier club fees for 2025–26 are two thousand one hundred dollars total for boys and girls under-eight through under-ten with a two-hundred-ten-dollar registration deposit and ten monthly two-hundred-ten-dollar payments from May through February. Boys under-eleven through under-fourteen and girls under-eleven through under-nineteen pay two thousand nine hundred fifty dollars total with a two-hundred-ninety-five-dollar deposit and ten monthly two-hundred-ninety-five-dollar payments over the same span. Boys under-fifteen use a two-thousand-nine-hundred-fifty-dollar total with a three-hundred-fifty-dollar deposit and nine monthly three-hundred-twenty-five-dollar payments from May through January. High-school boys under-sixteen through under-nineteen use the same two-thousand-nine-hundred-fifty-dollar total with a two-hundred-ninety-five-dollar deposit and ten monthly two-hundred-ninety-five-dollar payments from February through November. Club fees fund coaching, league and scheduling charges, state cup entry, facility maintenance, insurance, administration, referees, fee assistance reserves, sanitation, and related operations. Team managers set separate team dues for tournaments, travel, extra training windows, and coach travel, with higher travel expectations on top black and ECNL rosters. Players buy a full uniform kit on a cycle where even years are full replacement years and odd years are fill-in years; twenty twenty-five is a fill-in year requiring all kit pieces. Fundraising across the club offsets operating costs and dues assistance, and teams may run their own fundraisers. Each premier family completes six volunteer hours per seasonal year or accepts a one-hundred-fifty-dollar volunteer opt-out embedded in the payment plan, with twenty-five-dollar-per-hour credits applied when hours are verified before the final withdrawal.

Tryouts and registration

Tryouts and most registrations run through PlayMetrics. Premier and ECNL-path tryouts charge a twenty-five-dollar non-refundable fee when families register online before the window closes for an age group, and thirty-five dollars for walk-ups; the same tryout registration covers both ECNL and RCL evaluations, with ECNL sessions generally the day before paired RCL dates for those ages. Online registration closes at 1:00 p.m. on the first tryout day for each age band; after that, walk-up check-in uses card payment at the complex. Check-in sits in the first container in the north parking lot at 5702 44th Street East, Puyallup, Washington 98371, where staff issue tryout bibs and walk-up forms. For the 2026–27 cycle, high-school boys registration opened January first, 2026, and all other age groups open February first, 2026; proposed tryout blocks cluster in late April and early May for younger ages, with additional May dates for many middle ages, while some high-school boys sessions already ran in late February 2026. Weather and field assignments can move sessions, so confirm the current tryout schedule before traveling.
