About

FC Pittsburgh Soccer Club is a Pittsburgh-area youth organization founded in 2008 to pair licensed coaching with competitive team play and long-term player development. Esmark Youth Development backs the program, and the club roots its work in inclusion, family participation, and community support while chasing strong local, regional, and national competition.

What the club offers

Boys and girls follow an academy path for younger age bands and move into older competitive groups with 11v11 models as they grow. Club dues cover primary outdoor and winter indoor league fees, field and facility rental, a set number of tournaments each year, referee costs for primary leagues, goalkeeper training, supplemental player-development skills blocks across fall, winter, and spring, summer training and pickup opportunities, coaching education, insurance, video capture through VEO, and college-recruiting coordinator support for high-school-aged athletes. TeamSnap and Techne Futbol are among the tools families use for scheduling, registration, and individual training content. Capelli uniform kits are ordered separately online, and extra tournaments beyond the included set or optional speed-and-strength add-ons may carry additional costs.

Development philosophy and playing style

The club builds a constructive training environment where players sharpen technique and tactics together. Coaches stress individual growth within the team, and families are encouraged to stay engaged as players move from introductory academy work into deeper competitive schedules.

Tryouts and registration

Competitive-team tryouts follow a spring-and-summer rhythm each cycle. Academy groups and many older boys and girls bands gather at La Roche University Turf Stadium on Babcock Boulevard in Pittsburgh; some supplemental tryout nights use Osborne Elementary Field on Beaver Street in Sewickley. Families complete tryout registration through TeamSnap and should confirm the exact night and field for their birth year with the staff contact for that band. For many older boys groups, Nate Richter at nrichter@fcpsoccer.com handles questions. Academy families often coordinate with Sean Glackin at sglackin@fcpsoccer.com or Shawn Jonnett at sjonnet@fcpsoccer.com. For many girls competitive bands, Chet Gapczynski at chet@fcpsoccer.com and Sam Bailey-Hockin at shockin@fcpsoccer.com are the main contacts.

Fees, deposits, and billing

For the 2025–26 season, accepting a roster spot requires a $500 deposit through the TeamSnap invitation link; that deposit is non-refundable. After the deposit, academy players in the U9–U10 birth-year band (2016–2018) pay $2,100 in club fees, which works out to about $177.78 per month for nine months. Players in the U11–U13 band (2013–2015) pay $2,850, or about $261.12 per month for nine months. Players from U14 through U19 (2012 down to 2007) pay $2,950, or about $272.23 per month for nine months. A $100 sibling discount applies to team fees after the deposit. Payments run electronically by card on the first of each month from August through April, with a $25 late fee when an installment is more than ten days overdue. The club does not issue refunds on club fees; families may add fee-insurance protection during TeamSnap checkout if they choose. Billing questions go to accounting@fcpsoccer.com.

FCP Juniors for ages 6 to 10

FCP Juniors welcomes boys and girls ages 6 to 10 at any level for extra technical work, speed-agility-quickness training, and tactical progressions led by academy directors and staff. Winter indoor training meets Friday evenings at Greater Pittsburgh Sports Center indoor turf on Montour Run Road in Coraopolis; one winter session is $150, and enrolling in both winter sessions together is $275. Signup runs through the TeamSnap forms the club opens for each junior block.
