Programs and competitive levels

Travel soccer is the club’s core offering: select and premier teams grouped by age and skill compete in regional leagues and tournaments that stretch beyond the immediate Chicago southland. Sting University serves boys and girls ages seven through twelve who want structured fundamentals in a fun, competitive setting without the full travel-team commitment. Little Stingers welcomes three- through six-year-olds to learn ball control, passing, and dribbling through age-appropriate sessions.

For older players seeking summer competition, the club partners with Chicago City SC on a USL Youth League program open to Sting FC athletes and outside players alike. That summer platform covers U10 through U19 (with U11 and older teams eligible for national finals in Tampa each December), with twice-weekly training in Orland Park and league matches against clubs from Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Michigan.

Development approach and community

Coaching staff emphasize technical skills, tactical understanding, physical fitness, and sportsmanship across every tier. Directors and licensed coaches run progressive curricula that build ball mastery, game sense, confidence, and teamwork, and the club conducts background checks on staff. Beyond the field, Sting FC invests in community service, homecoming events, and charitable initiatives—including benefits for medical research—so athletes grow as leaders on and off the pitch.

Summer training and supplemental options

The four-week Summer Training Program targets competitive-minded boys and girls from U7 through U19 with high-intensity sessions split by age and ability. Training runs on Monday and Wednesday evenings in June and July at Schussler Park and Centennial Park in Orland Park, with the final week at Centennial Park. Registration is required and spots fill on a first-come basis.

Tryouts and registration

The club holds ongoing tryouts for travel teams across age groups, with Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 evaluation cycles open to new and returning players. Families register for tryouts and several programs through LeagueApps, the club’s online registration system.
