Programs and player pathway

Mini BEEs and Little BEEs welcome boys and girls about ages 3–6 with playful, coach-led sessions that build coordination, confidence, and love for the game before full-sided competition. Black & Yellow Academy serves players about ages 6–10 who want structured technical work and teamwork in a professional but still fun environment, bridging recreational play into higher-commitment training. BVBIA Select is a 10-month program for athletes ages 10 and up who are ready for high-level training, league competition, tactical education, and consistent match play on the road to elite platforms and School of Excellence identification. Competitive youth teams cover roughly U8–U19 for players pursuing year-round team soccer within the affiliate’s Las Vegas programming.

The wider BVBIA pathway also connects advanced players to School of Excellence events, national and international ID camps, college-placement resources through the North America network, and opportunities to experience training at the BVB Football Academy in Dortmund.

Competitive teams and Junior Premier League

Top boys and girls rosters have been accepted into the Junior Premier League (JPL), placing birth-year 2014–2010 cohorts in respected Mountain West competition against elite clubs from Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, and South Dakota. JPL emphasizes development-first matchups, regional visibility for college scouts, and a path toward National Finals qualification while keeping long-term player growth central. Families evaluating Select or travel placement should confirm which age groups and genders are rostered for the current JPL cycle because team acceptance and league assignments can shift season to season.

Training and tryout locations

Player tryouts and team training use valley fields including Bettye Wilson Soccer Complex in the Summerlin area and Chaparral High School for scheduled evaluation nights. Tryout blocks are typically organized by age band—U6–U11, U12–U14, and U15–U18—with staggered evening time slots so families can plan around school schedules. Because field assignments and dates change each cycle, confirm the live tryout calendar before you arrive.
