About

Union FC Indy is a large central Indiana youth soccer organization built around a full competitive ladder—Futures, Pathway, Junior Academy, Senior Academy, Junior Travel, and Senior Travel—alongside Zionsville Youth Soccer Association (ZYSA) recreational soccer for U5 through U18. More than eight hundred players participate in travel programming, more than eight hundred in recreation, the club fields more than sixty teams with more than seventy coaches, and outdoor play centers on the Whitestown campus.

Programs and pathways

ZYSA recreational soccer welcomes non-Zionsville residents and caps weekly commitment at about three days (one practice and two games) during a six-week spring block. Evening practices run once a week for roughly forty-five to sixty minutes Monday through Thursday at tiered start times such as 5:30, 6:30, or 6:45 depending on age. The spring calendar includes eight weekend games on scheduled Saturdays and Sundays, picture week, and a closing round-robin tournament track for older rec divisions. New players order a reversible green-and-white jersey and black socks at signup (jersey about forty dollars, socks about five dollars); shorts are not bundled with registration.

The competitive side groups athletes into Futures for U5–U6, Pathway for U7–U8, Junior Academy for U9–U10, Senior Academy for U11–U12, Junior Travel for U13–U14, and Senior Travel for U15–U19. Futures emphasizes festival-style game days, twice-weekly fall and spring training, once-weekly winter training, and bundled size-one balls plus a home-skills book. Pathway and Junior Academy squads play in the Central North Conference league with about eight fall and eight spring league games, two weekly trainings in fall and spring, one winter training per week, and tournament packages scaled by level. Senior Academy adds Indiana Soccer League play, three weekly trainings in fall and spring, an extra technical performance session included in fees, five tournaments, and complimentary winter futsal blocks. Junior and Senior Travel teams train three or four times per week in season (four for senior travel in spring), keep two winter trainings, include five tournaments, and aim at Indiana Soccer League divisions or National League Club Premier and Great Lakes Premier tracks. Goalkeeper training and Techne Futbol app access are bundled for travel players; additional foot-skills sessions with the club’s foot-skills director are optional paid add-ons.

Tryouts, registration, and season costs

Travel tryouts and evaluations for the 2026–2027 season concentrate in early June: U5 Futures and U6 Futures meet Thursday, June 4, 2026; Pathway U7–U8 and Junior Academy U9–U10 run Tuesday and Wednesday, June 2–3, 2026; Senior Academy, Junior Travel, and Senior Travel hold Monday and Tuesday, June 8–9, 2026. Exact session times are confirmed closer to June, so families should complete PlayMetrics tryout registration and watch for club updates. New players should attend both tryout nights when applicable, wear cleats and shin guards, bring water, and respond promptly to offer timelines communicated after evaluations. Supplemental tryout interest also flows through PlayMetrics when rosters have space.

Recreational spring 2026 registration stays open through PlayMetrics. Fees before March 1, 2026, are one hundred seventy-five dollars plus a thirty-dollar facility maintenance fee for birth years 2021–2018, and two hundred dollars plus the thirty-dollar facility fee for birth years 2017–2008; after March 1, those base fees rise to two hundred dollars and two hundred twenty-five dollars respectively, each still plus the thirty-dollar facility fee. Practice begins the week of April 6, 2026, with opening games April 11–12.

Competitive team fees for the 2025–2026 season bundle year-round programming: Futures totals eight hundred fifty dollars plus a ninety-dollar facility fee with optional à la carte fall, winter, and spring slices; Pathway is nine hundred fifty dollars plus one hundred fifty dollars in facility fees; Junior Academy is one thousand seven hundred fifty dollars plus one hundred fifty dollars; Senior Academy is two thousand two hundred fifty dollars plus one hundred fifty dollars; Junior Travel and Senior Travel are each two thousand three hundred dollars plus one hundred fifty dollars. Those amounts cover the training, league, and tournament packages described for each band; uniform or ancillary purchases sit outside those figures.
