About

East Boston FC (EBFC) is a recreational soccer club for youth from PreK through 12th grade, rooted in East Boston and built around accessible, neighborhood programming. Coaches and staff stress whole-player growth—character, technical skill, and community—so families get a supportive environment rather than a pay-to-play pressure cooker. Holistic development is the through-line on the field and on the sideline.

What the club offers

Two main tracks sit side by side. Grassroots league soccer serves kindergarten through 8th grade at $100 per fall or spring season. Those teams practice on Mondays or Wednesdays and scrimmage on Saturdays. Travel soccer costs $200 per fall or spring season and targets 3rd through 5th graders, with 6th grade open to girls only on the travel side. Travel teams practice twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays and play games on Saturdays. Together, the grassroots league and travel line give East Boston families a clear path from introductory play to a bit more structure and commitment without leaving the neighborhood ecosystem.

Development philosophy

The club builds young people who show strong character on and off the field, improves soccer ability step by step, and strengthens ties among East Boston families. The tone stays community-first—volunteers carry much of the load, and keeping costs down is part of the mission.

How the program is run

An EBFC Advisory Board governs the club. Boston SCORES supplies backbone support—administration, systems, and alignment with broader Boston SCORES youth programming—so EBFC can focus on coaching, teams, and families on the ground. That partnership connects EBFC to a larger nonprofit network while keeping the club’s identity local.

Registration and questions

Program signup and seasonal registration run through Boston SCORES program operations alongside other Boston SCORES youth offerings. Families who need help choosing a level or season should email for timely answers.
