About

Everett Youth Soccer Club (EYSC) is a nonprofit youth soccer organization rooted in Everett and Snohomish County, with a mission to create opportunity, develop character, and build community through affordable soccer. Established in 1976, the club has served local families for more than four decades with Micros introduction programming, open recreational leagues, and the competitive Everett FC division—so players can grow from first touches through high-school-age travel without leaving one club culture.

Programs and age groups

Micros welcome the youngest athletes in U5–U7. The emphasis is fun, basic ball skills, and keeping kids engaged for the long term. Fall Micros run an eight-week season with Micro Fun Nights on Wednesday evenings starting in August; spring Micros are a six-week season that usually begins in April. Sessions pair a 30-minute practice with 30-minute games on smaller fields in 3v3 or 4v4 formats without goalkeepers, stressing ball mastery and 1v1 work. U5–U7 teams are not separated by gender, and registration includes a numbered jersey and size 3 ball.

Recreational Mods (often called rec soccer) are open to all skill levels from U8 through U19. Fall rec runs a ten-week game season beginning the weekend after Labor Day, with bi-weekly practices starting in August. Spring rec is a shorter six-week season with optional practices and no scores or standings. Games for older rec divisions are played through the North County Youth Soccer Association against other Snohomish County clubs, while younger Micros games stay inside EYSC. Players who trained with a select team in the fall may not join spring recreational soccer that same year.

Everett FC is the club’s competitive division, built to deliver high-quality select and premier soccer at the lowest practical cost. Select registration is $1,499 per year; premier registration is $1,999. Both tracks include an Everett FC uniform set, year-round training (typically twice weekly with short December and spring tryout pauses), summer tournament(s), Washington Premier League league seasons, an indoor session at Arena Sports in Mill Creek (teams may opt out for an extra tournament), and WA Cup state-cup participation on a schedule that varies by age band. High-school-age players may see lighter formal training during the school soccer season while remaining in the year-round program.

Tryouts, registration, and seasons

Select and premier tryouts are free (listed total cost $0) with registration opening after February and May tryout cycles; Everett FC staff send accepted players a registration link for the year-round program. Competitive soccer generally starts with May tryouts and runs year-round with a break tied to high school seasons. Fall recreational registration typically opens mid-April through June or July depending on season; spring recreational registration opens in January through mid-March.

Families register through PlayMetrics and manage team schedules in TeamSnap. Practice locations are concentrated in north and central Everett, with games across north Snohomish County for rec and broader Puget Sound travel for Everett FC.

Community partnerships and access

EYSC partners with Hand in Hand for Kids so outreach scholarships and family support can continue while soccer operations stay with the club. The organization also highlights a long-standing Fuerza FC affiliation that expands access for Hispanic youth and underserved communities, plus collaborations with Snohomish County Human Services on after-school soccer initiatives. Sponsors and local businesses help keep fees comparatively low for both recreational and competitive families.

Coaching and player support

Volunteer coaches power both EYSC recreational programming and Everett FC teams. Each coach completes US Club Soccer background checks and required Safe Sport training aligned with Washington Youth Soccer. The club publishes referee incentive information, scholarship contacts (Scholarships@EYSC.club), and separate operational emails for Micros (micros@EYSC.club) and recreational operations (recoperations@eysc.club). Families who miss select tryouts can contact the technical director for guidance.
