What the club offers

Recreational soccer targets a fun, skills-forward introduction for ages 3 through 18 in supervised club facilities, with full-time office support for members. Teams rely on volunteer parent coaches who receive training, resources, and guidance from HTX’s professional staff. The recreational pathway also includes an adaptive and special-needs option for players who need a tailored environment.

Youth Academy bridges toward competitive play for ages 7 through 10. Training and games use professional coaching every session, with emphasis on character (respect, work ethic, unity, and tenacity), competence (technical skill, tactical decisions, and physical coordination), and communication between coaches, players, and parents. Families choose the nearest academy location and complete registration through PlayMetrics.

Competitive programming forms ability-based teams for roughly U11 through U18. Teams train under U.S. Soccer–licensed head coaches who own the full player-development cycle—planning, training, and evaluation—with director-of-coaching support; parents handle administration only, not on-field coaching. The style of play stresses possession-oriented, attacking soccer, steady curriculum progression, and practices and games that push players toward the next competitive tier. Squads compete locally, regionally, and nationally, including college showcases where offered.

Elite is the highest-demand track for top U10 through U19 players, with year-round training and game expectations. Boys’ elite teams compete in ECNL and ECNL Regional League tiers plus Catalyst boys’ programming; girls’ elite teams participate in Girls Academy, GA2, and City-branded groupings. A college-center program aligns with SportsRecruits alongside broad college-network support, scholarship opportunities for qualifying families, and a deep history of national league and championship play—including recent USYS and Girls Academy national titles.

Facilities, staff, and footprint

The staff includes more than 170 U.S. Soccer and UEFA–licensed coaches, bilingual coaching options, and two full-time administrative offices (north and south) with bilingual support. About ten locations and more than 65 grass and all-weather fields serve the metro, including numerous lighted complexes suited to evening training and games.

Tryouts, registration, and practical costs

Competitive and elite placements flow through seasonal tryout and evaluation cycles. Families use the club’s tryout hub for registration links, schedules, and location-specific details. Youth Academy registration runs through PlayMetrics with a club signup token. Recreational families pick the nearest campus for season dates, fees, and registration steps. Tuition and tryout fees vary by campus, age group, and season; families should confirm current amounts with their campus or in the active registration checkout.

Mission, values, and philosophy

The mission is to provide youth soccer opportunities for every ability level across Greater Houston. Core values are enjoyment, courage, integrity, respect, and humility, with the aim of developing players as people as well as athletes. Elite and competitive programming builds on those values with national-league access, age-specific curricula, and college-placement resources for players who pursue that path.
