About

Idaho Inferno Soccer Club is a Treasure Valley youth soccer organization headquartered in Caldwell, serving families across Eastern Oregon and Idaho communities from Ontario and Weiser through Caldwell, Nampa, Meridian, Kuna, and Boise. The club runs recreational leagues, the Inferno Development Academy (IDA) bridge program, and year-round competitive teams—combining accessible membership fees with pathways toward state, regional, and national league play.

Programs and age groups

Recreational soccer welcomes players born in 2011 through July 31, 2022 for fall and spring seasons. U6–U16 teams practice twice weekly with Saturday games; every player receives at least half of each match. Spring runs in April and May with practices starting in late March; fall runs September and October with practices beginning in late August. Coaches choose practice days and times, and families cannot request specific schedules—volunteer coaches are always needed for parents who want to set their own practice window.

The Inferno Development Academy (IDA) offers five competitive-style training sessions for U8–U10 recreational players preparing for Idaho’s competitive entry ages. Spring 2026 IDA meets at Brothers Park in Caldwell ($60, born 2016–2018) with technical skill work, a closing jamboree, and ice cream celebration; fall sessions will expand to include U7 players. Many IDA graduates move into Inferno competitive rosters.

Competitive teams serve U8 and older players who attend tryouts for roster placement. The program spans fall outdoor league play, winter indoor training, and spring seasons, with home games at Brothers Park and travel to Middleton, Meridian, Boise, Nampa, and tournament destinations across the United States. The club is pushing to place boys and girls teams from U12 through U18/19 in the National Premier League for 2026–2027, and offers a College Path Program led by Tony McKnight for recruitment guidance.

Tryouts and registration timing

2026–2027 competitive tryouts are Monday, June 8 and Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Brothers Park in Caldwell. Evening sessions run 5:30–8:30 p.m. for most age groups; U16–U19 boys and girls try out 9:30–11:00 a.m. Players register through GotSport before attending, selecting the birth-year band that matches U.S. Soccer’s August 1–July 31 school-year registration starting in 2026–27.

Recreational registration opens May 1 for fall and November 1 for spring 2027, with a July 13 fall deadline and a $25 late fee beginning July 14. Registrations require immediate payment and uniform ordering at sign-up; birth certificates or legal ID copies are required for verification.

Fees families should plan for

Recreational per-season fees are $90 (U5/U6), $95 (U7/U8), $105 (U9/U10), and $125 (U11–U16), plus uniforms ($45 for younger groups, $60 for U11–U16). A $25 late registration fee applies after published deadlines (spring materials reference February 2; fall uses the July 14 late-fee window).

2025–2026 competitive registration runs $740 paid in full for U8–U10 (born 2016–2018), $765 for U11–U12, and $800 for U13–U14, with monthly payment plans through December or January depending on age. Winter-and-spring-only players (often high-school fall athletes) pay $635. Uniform kits are $210 for the Adidas package (two training jerseys, two game jerseys, shorts, and socks) valid through May 2026; kits purchased in 2024–25 may carry over one more year. Registration does not cover winter training rentals, tournaments, or referee fees—those are team decisions. Anyone registering after January 1 must pay in full without a payment plan.

Training locations and geography

Brothers Park at 4099 South Indiana Avenue in Caldwell is the club’s primary home complex for tryouts, IDA, and competitive home games. Inferno also lists more than two dozen away venues across Boise, Eagle, Kuna, Meridian, Middleton, Mountain Home, Nampa, Star, Ontario (Oregon), and Weiser—reflecting a wide Treasure Valley and Eastern Oregon footprint rather than a single-city program.

Coaching, development, and club culture

Director of Coaching Jason Vittrup leads a staff of licensed competitive coaches and volunteer recreational leaders. Competitive coaches are predominantly USSF licensed; the club emphasizes player development, sportsmanship, affordability, and community. Core values include diversity, fun, respect, teamwork, value, development, and stability, with formal age-group leads for U10–U13 and a zero-tolerance abuse policy protecting players, coaches, and families.
