About

Lake Hills Soccer Club is the community youth soccer organization for Bellevue, Washington, with roots in Northwest soccer dating to 1963. The nonprofit club serves players ages 5 through 18 through Micro, Modified Rec, full Recreational, and Club Select pathways—all within Eastside Youth Soccer Association (EYSA), Washington Youth Soccer, and US Youth Soccer. Families in east and northeast Bellevue and across the city can start without tryouts in fall recreational leagues and move into select teams when they want stronger competition without the year-round commitment of premier clubs such as Eastside FC.

Programs and age groups

Micro Soccer welcomes boys and girls born August 2019 through July 2021 (U6–U7), including pre-kindergarten players. One Saturday morning session at Odle Middle School combines a clinic, practice, and 3v3 games for eight weeks from mid-September through early November. Modified Rec covers U8–U12 (roughly ages 7–11) with smaller-sided teams, Mod Clinics for U8–U10, and Saturday league games across the Eastside from September through mid-November.

Full Recreational soccer serves U13–U19 (ages 12–18) with 11v11 teams, typically two weekday practices plus weekend games against other EYSA district clubs in east King County. Club Select fields competitive boys and girls teams from U10 through U19 for players who want a step above recreational play but less travel, cost, and time than premier programming. Lake Hills typically targets about eighteen select teams—nine boys and nine girls—with many coaches and players coming up through the club’s own rec ranks.

Fall season and registration

Fall is the main season for Micro, Mod Rec, and Recreational teams. Games generally run from early or mid-September through mid-November. Micro registration opens April 1 and runs through August 31; Mod Rec and Recreational registration opens April 1 with a May 31 priority deadline for in-boundary families. Late recreational registration after July 4 is space-available only and carries a $25 late fee. High school recreational teams need at least fifteen registered players and a coach in place by June 30.

Club Select tryouts are held in the spring, with May sessions for most youth age groups and earlier winter sessions for high school boys. Online tryout registration is free; players should plan to attend both scheduled sessions when possible. Optional kickarounds before tryouts help players meet coaches and prepare physically.

Fees and financial support

Micro registration is $140 and includes a uniform and size 3 ball. Modified Rec and full Recreational registration are $260 each, including two jerseys, shorts, and socks. Club Select registration for 2026 is $650. Qualifying families can access need-based scholarships—$30 for recreational programs and $80 for select—for players who typically qualify for free or reduced-price school meals; contact the registrar to confirm eligibility.

The club also partners with Rainier Athletes, distributes donated cleats and gear through the equipment coordinator, and keeps select costs lower by relying on volunteer coaches who often stay with the same team from young ages through high school.

Training and game locations

Home practices and games use City of Bellevue and Bellevue School District fields across the club’s service area—sites such as Robinswood Park, Sherwood Forest Elementary, Lake Hills Elementary, Tillicum Middle School, Odle Middle School, and many other Eastside schools and parks. Modified and recreational away games may reach Issaquah, Mercer Island, Newport, west Bellevue, and Snoqualmie Valley for older mod teams. Select tryouts and training commonly use Robinswood East, Sherwood Forest, Tillicum, and Wilburton Hill Park.

Development philosophy and league context

Lake Hills emphasizes player development, sportsmanship, fitness, and fun in age-appropriate settings. Recreational teams rely on parent and community volunteer coaches with support from the club and EYSA. Select coaches must hold U.S. Soccer certification, and the club encourages advanced coaching licenses. As one of four EYSA member clubs alongside premier-side Eastside FC, Lake Hills select teams compete at a district level between house rec and full premier travel; strong select sides regularly reach late rounds of Founders Cup.
