What ages and program levels does MYSC offer?MYSC serves boys and girls from ages 3 through 19. Recreational pathways include Micro (4U–7U), Mod (8U–12U), and Youth (13U–19U) with parent-led teams and NSRL scheduling for older divisions. About
Mukilteo Youth Soccer Club (MYSC) is a volunteer-led nonprofit youth soccer organization rooted in Mukilteo, Washington, since 1969. The club serves more than 1,000 players on over 100 teams from ages 3 through 19, with programming aimed primarily at families in the Mukilteo School District and nearby Edmonds, Everett, and Lynnwood communities. MYSC pairs a large recreational pathway with Mukilteo FC Select and Premier teams for players ready for higher commitment and Washington Premier League (WPL) competition.
Recreational soccer
Recreational soccer welcomes all experience levels with a community-first culture, parent coaches and managers, gender-specific teams in most ages, and at least 50 percent playing time each game. Micro teams (4U–7U) play co-ed 3v3 without goalkeepers on small fields at Explorer Middle School, with six spring games from mid-April or six fall games starting the weekend after Labor Day. Mod divisions (8U–12U) and Youth divisions (13U–19U) scale field size and competition gradually; MYSC forms teams and schedules games through North Sound Rec League (NSRL) against neighboring clubs, without league standings.
Fall recreational registration opens May 1, with a $15 early-bird discount for players who register in May and a guaranteed spot on their previous fall team when applicable. Spring registration opens in February for 4U through 16U with six weekend games from mid-April. Fall seasons run roughly seven to ten weeks with games on Saturdays or Sundays by age group; coaches contact assigned players by July 15 for fall and March 15 for spring. Practices use Mukilteo School District fields based on coach scheduling. Micro players receive a jersey; 8U–19U fall players receive a full MYSC kit (jersey, shorts, socks). Shin guards, cleats, and a labeled water bottle are required at all sessions.
Mukilteo FC Select and Premier
Mukilteo FC Select is the competitive pathway for players seeking advanced training, regional league play, summer tournaments, and longer seasons than recreation. Teams are organized by birth year from 9U through 19U, typically train at least twice per week, and compete in WPL against other select programs across Snohomish County and Western Washington. Travel for select teams generally spans Western Washington (north to Bellingham, south to Tacoma, east to Issaquah and Monroe, west to Bremerton); premier-level travel stays within Washington for most league play, with State Cup matches possible statewide.
Published fee targets for the 2026–27 cycle are $1,400 annually for Select and $1,700 for Premier, with monthly payment plans and limited financial aid on discounted registration fees. Player fees aim to cover home and away jerseys, training gear, warm-up sets, league registrations, practice fields on Mukilteo School District sites (including lighted winter training), referee fees, player eligibility cards, team equipment, and club administration including coach background checks and insurance. High school boys train and compete with the club in summer through winter before school soccer in spring; high school girls play summer tournaments, school soccer in fall, then resume club play in winter.
Tryouts, registration, and family support
Mukilteo FC tryouts are free; tryout registration opens March 1. Spring 2026 tryouts for U09–U15 boys and girls use Olympic View Middle School turf (2602 Mukilteo Speedway, Mukilteo, WA 98275) on scheduled April 2026 dates, with high school girls sessions April 18–19 and additional high school boys tryouts announced when scheduled. Players check in early, receive numbered vests, and are evaluated on technical skills, fitness, tactical awareness, and attitude. Coaches contact selected players within 24 hours of the final tryout day; families have 24 hours to accept emailed offers and complete registration with photo and birth documentation for US Club requirements.
Recreational families register through GotSport when seasons are open. Financial assistance is available online for both recreational and select families. Registration questions go to registrar@mysc.org; general club questions go to mysc@mysc.org. The club also runs community events such as MUKCUP, Turkey Shoot, camps and clinics, and welcomes volunteer coaches, referees, and board members.
