About

Pacific FC is a competitive youth soccer organization serving families in Vancouver and southwest Washington, built as an ongoing alliance between Pacific Soccer Club and Vancouver West Soccer Club since 2009. The club fields boys and girls teams from U9 through U19 in state and regional leagues while layering camps, academy-style add-ons, and Portland Thorns partnerships so motivated players can grow technically and competitively without leaving the Clark County footprint.

Competitive teams and leagues

Travel teams compete across Oregon Youth Soccer Association (OYSA), Washington Premier League (WPL), National Premier League (NPL), and US Youth Soccer’s Northwest Conference. Affiliations also connect athletes to WPL Academy, US Club Soccer, Oregon ODP, and Oregon Youth Soccer pathways when families want broader exposure. Within each birth year, coaches collaborate across rosters so players land on teams that match skill and commitment—some groups train and compete at different competitive tiers when that best supports development.

Tryouts and placement

Seasonal tryouts for the 2026–2027 cycle run in May at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex (3101 S Hillhurst Rd, Ridgefield, WA 98642) and View Ridge Middle School fields on the same corridor. Families register interest early so coaches can plan sessions and send updates; players can also join open kick-arounds with some teams when offered. After the main tryout window closes, mid-season evaluation requests remain an option for players seeking a roster spot. Tryout prep emphasizes conditioning, ball skills, shin guards, cleats, water, and neutral athletic clothing without other club logos.

Camps, clinics, and extra training

Future Stars gives U8–U10 players extra competitive touches with experienced coaches—useful both for skill growth and for gauging readiness for advanced Pacific FC teams. The Technical Skills Academy adds another weekly training night beyond team schedules, with specialized goalkeeper coaching. Summer camps led by PFC staff run $80 per session (June 23–26 and July 21–24, 3:00–5:00 PM on Ridgefield High School grass). Thorns Training partners with Portland Thorns FC for elite girls’ blocks in the fall, opening ECNL and ECRL development exposure. A Nike Soccer Camp at Luke Jensen Field in Vancouver (July 7–10, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM) welcomes coed players ages 6–17 with All Skills and high-school divisions.

Coaching leadership

Greg McGreevey chairs the committee; Filly Afenegus serves as technical director. Dustin Johnson directs boys coaching; Tami Perkins leads girls coaching with Kristen Beauchamp as assistant girls director of coaching. Bryan Vogel supports U9–U10 as assistant technical director; Jackson Rudolph directs goalkeeping. Jesus Murrieta and Ali Nortz represent boys and girls team committees for family questions alongside registration lead Rachelle Beatty.
