About

Players Soccer Club has served Southern Nevada youth soccer families since 1989 under a one club, one family, one community model. The organization runs developmental Junior Academy programming for the youngest players, competitive boys and girls teams from roughly ages seven through nineteen, and specialized tracks such as college identification and goalkeeper training while maintaining one of the region’s longest-running college showcase tournaments.

Programs and competitive levels

The Players Junior Academy welcomes boys and girls from Under-6 through Under-10 (birth years roughly 2016 through 2021 in the 2026–27 cycle). The academy bridges recreation and competitive soccer with age-appropriate technical work—ball skills, passing and receiving, 1v1 attacking and defending—plus simple tactical ideas, confidence, and physical foundations in a positive, fun environment. Families register directly for U10 and younger without a formal tryout.

Competitive teams cover ages seven through nineteen with three to four weekly training sessions and play in local, regional, and national leagues and tournaments. Coaching staff bring playing backgrounds from collegiate through international levels and coaching experience from youth through college. Alumni have advanced to collegiate soccer, professional clubs including MLS, US Youth National teams, and residency academies such as Real Salt Lake’s full-residency program. MLS NEXT rosters carry additional per-game costs for referees, trainers, and field fees beyond standard club pricing.

Supplemental programming includes a College ID track, dedicated goalkeeper training, uniform ordering through the club’s Capelli Sport shop, and the Players College Showcase—an annual Las Vegas event founded in 2000 that draws elite clubs and college coaches from across the country.

Tryouts and registration

For the 2026–27 season, competitive tryouts are open to players born in 2007 through 2016 (U11–U19). Las Vegas boys and girls sessions run May 26–31, 2026, at Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex on fields 8–11 with staggered evening blocks by birth year and a Saturday–Sunday morning schedule. Henderson boys hold separate sessions May 28–29 at Montagna Park. Families should attend at least two tryout sessions and register through the club’s online tryout signup before arriving.

Players U10 and younger skip tryouts and register for Junior Academy directly. A free U10-and-under clinic runs Saturday and Sunday, May 30–31, 2026, 9:30–11:00 a.m. at Kellogg Zaher Field 8 alongside tryout weekend.

Training locations

Primary Las Vegas tryouts and many training blocks use Kellogg Zaher Sports Complex. Henderson boys tryouts use Montagna Park. Families should confirm field assignments for their age group before travel because schedules split by birth year and gender.

Fees and financial support

The 2026–27 club year runs June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027. Club pricing bundles training, coaching, and field costs. Players U11 and older (2016 birth year and earlier) may pay $100 per month for twelve months or a single $1,000 annual payment; siblings pay $65 per month or $650 annually. Players U10 and under (2017 and later) may pay $70 per month for twelve months or $700 for the year; siblings pay $45 per month or $450 annually. Monthly plans bill on the 15th from June 15, 2026 through May 15, 2027; lump-sum plans charge July 15, 2026. Nevada state player registration adds about $32 for U11 and older and about $15 for U10 and younger. Scholarships are available—families with financial need should contact Club Director Saeed Bonabian directly.

Development philosophy

The club mission centers on training youth players to their fullest potential through skills, athleticism, tactics, teamwork, and sportsmanship while providing strong coaching, facilities, and family support. Goals include state-championship contention at every age, meaningful college-coach exposure, scholarships for players with financial need, and a safe, respectful environment that remembers participants are children first. Competitive alumni include professional signings, college standouts, and national-team call-ups nurtured from Junior Academy entry points.
