About
Tri-Cities FC is the competitive brand of the Tri-Cities Youth Soccer Association (T-CYSA), a Pasco-based nonprofit that has served the Mid-Columbia since 1976. T-CYSA organizes recreational leagues for boys and girls ages 4 through 19 across Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland, coordinates local and regional league play, hosts tournaments, and fields travel teams under the Tri-Cities FC name for players ready for a higher level.
What the club offers
Families can start in non-competitive recreational soccer and move into Tri-Cities FC competitive teams when they are ready. Recreational programming emphasizes fundamentals, fair play, and equal playing time in a friendly atmosphere. Competitive teams operate as Tri-Cities FC and draw players from throughout the Tri-Cities and surrounding area who meet age and tryout requirements.
Recreational soccer
The recreational program welcomes children ages 4–19 in T-CYSA’s recreational city clubs—separate Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland organizations that build teams within each city. Games are scheduled on Saturdays at the T-CYSA Soccer Complex in Pasco. Fields are sized by age group so younger players train and compete on appropriately scaled surfaces.
Families should plan for a uniform kit (home and away jerseys, shorts, and socks) at approximately $37, plus shin guards, a water bottle, and an age-appropriate ball. T-CYSA also partners with Lifequest for winter indoor soccer and offers scholarship support for families who cannot afford registration fees.
Tri-Cities FC competitive program
Players with a birth year of 2012 or older may try out for Tri-Cities FC competitive teams. Tri-Cities FC has partnered with Central Washington Sounders to expand premier-level training and programming, with CW Sounders Coaching Director Marty Lackey overseeing the premier soccer program. The collaboration focuses on forming quality club teams and delivering technical and tactical training across competitive levels, complementing T-CYSA’s recreational and select/premier offerings.
Registration and tryouts
All players must register with T-CYSA before joining any team. New players must submit payment and a copy of a birth certificate at registration—children are not placed on a roster until both requirements are met. Birth certificates can be mailed, faxed, emailed to the office, or delivered in person. Coaches and assistant coaches complete risk-management clearance through the volunteer registration process before working with players.
T-CYSA and Eastern Oregon University also co-host a Summer Soccer Camp for U5–U19 players; the 2026 camp runs August 4–6 at the Pasco Sporting Complex soccer fields. Camp registration opens through the club’s registration system when available.
Fields and facilities
Recreational games take place at the T-CYSA complex at 6160 Burden Road in Pasco. The complex uses age-group field layouts to encourage participation. Field use by outside groups requires an approved field-use agreement— the complex is not open to the public without authorization. Spectators should note that noise makers such as cowbells, horns, and whistles are not permitted at recreational games.
Affiliations and community
T-CYSA is affiliated with US Club Soccer and maintains community partnerships including GESA debit-card fundraising that supports player scholarships. The association’s stated purpose includes teaching and promoting soccer, encouraging courtesy and sportsmanship, developing leadership, and building physical fitness and self-discipline among youth players.
