About

Valor Soccer is a 501(c)(3) youth soccer organization headquartered in Maple Valley that serves families across Southeast King County with one of the region’s broadest program menus—from infant play-based sessions through recreational leagues, three competitive travel tiers, adaptive soccer, camps, and tournaments. The club partners with families to grow confident athletes and measures success by development as teammates, community members, and resilient competitors, not wins alone.

Programs and age pathways

Soccer Stars welcomes the youngest players starting around 12 months with gentle, play-based activities. FirstKick targets kindergarten through second grade with a six-week season, one weekly training, six games total, volunteer coaches, included jerseys, and three program location options. Recreational soccer begins at third grade with an eight-week season, two trainings per week, one weekend game, volunteer coaches, jersey included, and the same three-location model.

Competitive travel divides into Select, Premier, and Elite for boys and girls. Select (roughly U9–U19, birth years 2007–2018) balances competitive play with room for other activities—two weekly trainings and one to two local weekend matches. Premier (U8–U19, 2007–2019) is the highest level sponsored by Washington Youth Soccer with three weekly trainings and one to two weekend matches that can include local and state travel. Elite (U13–U19 for the top national track, with additional competitive bands down to U8 on club materials) targets advanced development with three weekly sessions, Regional Club League and elite weekend fixtures, goalkeeper academy access, playoff paths, Washington Youth Soccer state cup entry, and potential National League P.R.O. and US Youth Soccer national advancement for U14–U19 groups.

Beginning the 2026–27 playing cycle, Valor joins the ECNL Regional League, and Pre-ECNL becomes an optional U11–U12 stage on the ECNL pathway—top-ready teams may compete in RCL Division 1 while others remain in Premier Gold, Black, Grey, and related placements. TOPSoccer offers free registration for players age 4 and older with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities in a safe, inclusive Maple Valley setting. Camps, clinics, and hosted tournaments add seasonal training for varied skill levels.

Training, leagues, and season rhythm

Competitive programs run year-round with tryouts required for Elite, Premier, and Select. Professional coaches hold nationally recognized licenses on Elite and Premier rosters and grassroots licensing on Select. Elite club dues bundle ECNL-RL league fees, elite playoff and tournament entries where teams advance, ProScore video for U14–U19, NCSA recruiting tools, Washington Youth Soccer association and state championship entry, Veo recording, college placement resources for U15–U19, etrainu resources, fields, coaching, referees, and operations—plus separate kit, fundraising, volunteer-hour, team-fee, and financial-aid structures families review at acceptance.

Tryouts and registration

Tryouts for the 2026–27 cycle are closed; future competitive placement still requires tryouts for Elite, Premier, and Select. Sessions use Petrovitsky Park (16400 SE Petrovitsky Road, Renton, WA 98058) or Ravensdale Park (27200 SE Kent Kangley Road, Ravensdale, WA 98051) depending on age group schedules. A one-time $25 tryout fee applies for online registrants who attend across multiple days; walk-up registration costs $35. Online registration closes at 4:00 PM the day before each age group’s first tryout day. U.S. Soccer age grouping shifts to a seasonal year (August 1–July 31) starting 2026–27. Coaching assignments publish about ten days before tryouts; selected players hear from staff and complete annual fees through PlayMetrics with Code of Conduct expectations for players and parents. High school boys U16–U19 tryouts run on a winter calendar aligned with school soccer.

Financial aid and community support

Valor dedicates resources so economic background does not block participation—families can complete a financial aid application when assistance is needed. As a registered nonprofit, sponsorship dollars flow to aid for families who need help, and local businesses can support programming directly.
