Club Description

Friday Harbor FC in Washington is a vibrant soccer community dedicated to fostering a love for the game among the youth of San Juan Island. Established in 1999, the club has been a cornerstone for young athletes, offering programs for children aged 4-15. As a non-profit entity, it thrives on the spirit of volunteerism and is affiliated with Washington Youth Soccer, ensuring a high standard of play and development.

The club’s mission is to provide every child with the chance to play, learn, and grow within the sport, nurturing a lifelong passion for soccer1. With a variety of programs tailored for different age groups, Friday Harbor FC ensures that every participant gets the opportunity to enhance their skills in a supportive and fun environment.

During the fall, the club organizes co-educational leagues for U6, U8, and U10 categories, which take place at the local elementary school. For the older age groups, including U11 to U14 boys and girls teams, the club participates in the Skagit Valley Youth Soccer Association’s fall youth recreation program, with games hosted both on the island and across Skagit County.

In the summer, the excitement continues as the club partners with Island Rec to offer International Soccer camps for ages 3 to 153. These camps are designed to provide intensive training and are a great way for young players to improve their technique, understanding of the game, and overall fitness during the off-season.

Guided by a dedicated board of directors, Friday Harbor FC stands as a beacon for youth soccer, emphasizing the importance of community, sportsmanship, and personal growth.
