Top performers from that process may advance into Surf Select training environments, priority team placement within their birth year, and regional or national Surf opportunities through the broader Surf Select program.

Beyond league teams, families can add skills work through academy-led personal training ($15 per session) and seasonal camps. A four-day pre-tryout skills camp ($95, June 1–4, 2026, 6–8 PM) emphasizes ball control, passing, first touch, awareness, and movement for players sharpening technique ahead of tryouts. The Watford FC Academy Elite Development Experience ($265, June 22–25, 2026) brings UEFA A–licensed coaching to Wichita with age-banded morning and midday blocks for U8 through U15 at the club training facility.

Primary training and tryout activity takes place at the Wichita Surf Training Facility inside Kingdom Athletics (2025 W. Surf Select ID sessions in spring 2026 are scheduled for April 10, 17, 24, and May 1 at the Harry Street facility; the club encourages multi-session attendance so staff can make placement decisions before June tryouts.
