About

New England Futbol Club (NEFC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit premier club that has focused on player development and college placement across New England for more than fifteen years. The club trains youth from about age six through twenty-three across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, with a staff of more than eighty-five coaches and more than three thousand players in the youth program. Families in Mendon and the surrounding Metro West corridor typically plug into NEFC through the Metro West region rather than a separate Mendon-only organization.

Metro West and Mendon

Metro West is anchored around Northborough, Mendon, Natick, and the Easton area, with more than forty boys and girls teams from U7 through U18. Regional training and matches draw on NEFC Park, the NEFC Training Center in Northborough, and the Riverbend School. Northborough, Marlborough, and Mendon also sit together as core Metro West training locations in the club’s regional layout. Boys and girls Clubwide teams—the top of the development pyramid—train three to four times a week across about ten months, compete in high-level leagues, and travel nationally for major events; those Clubwide sides are based out of Northborough and Mendon alongside the wider regional structure.

Pathways and add-on programs

Within Metro West, girls can pursue NEFC Clubwide, Central DPL, regional Metro West teams, and Junior Academy. Boys can pursue NEFC Clubwide, regional Metro West teams, and Junior Academy. Junior Academy is the club’s introductory club-soccer track for younger players, stressing ball mastery and technique in a developmental curriculum; Metro West winter blocks have run at the NEFC Soccer Training Center on Cedar Hill Street in Northborough, while spring boys and girls sessions for Metro West include Monday early-evening blocks at NEFC Park Mendon alongside Northborough options. Metro West Junior Academy winter sessions at that Northborough training center run $195, and spring Metro West sessions—including at NEFC Park Mendon—run $100. The Regional Development Program, camps, clinics, college support, and the NEFC tournament series round out extra training and exposure opportunities for players who want more than team practice alone.

Mission, philanthropy, and practical next steps

The mission is to develop every player for their next level in an elite soccer environment through training, education, and competition. As a nonprofit, NEFC also runs need-based scholarship support, an inner-city initiative, and the NEF-SHE women-in-sport programming alongside donations handled through the club’s giving arm. To join or ask questions, families can attend a tryout, clinic, or ID week, submit the FrontRush interested-player form so a coach can follow up, or use the regions map when they are unsure which NEFC region fits their home base. General questions go to updates@nefc.us or the contact form.
