Programs and age groups

Littles Academy introduces players ages 3–4 to soccer at Pillar Falls Elementary through a four-week session with two practices per week. Training emphasizes dribbling, passing, shooting, and teamwork through fun drills and small-sided scrimmages that teach basics like kickoffs, out-of-bounds, and scoring. Each athlete receives a game shirt, ball, and medal; spring and fall seasons run about $115 per player with limited spots available.

Youth Academy serves ages 5–8 with six-week spring and fall seasons built around grassroots instruction—two sessions weekly plus local scrimmages that expose players to game-like conditions while keeping the focus on ball comfort, teamwork, and enjoyment. Registration runs about $135 per athlete and includes a team shirt and referee fees.

The competitive program spans roughly U9 through U19, with fall seasons for U9–U14 and spring seasons extending through high school ages. Teams train two to three times per week with indoor practice options, six league games, a home tournament, and additional showcases or exchanges as each roster plans. Players come from across southern Idaho to train under licensed, experienced coaches who work on technical, tactical, physical, and psychological development.

Competitive fees and scholarships

Competitive membership fees offset up to eight months of training and conditioning, league and state registration, coach fees, facility use, and the club’s home tournament. Fall season costs $395, spring costs $550, and a combined yearly fee (fall plus spring) is $945. Payment plans are available, scholarships help families facing financial barriers, and separate tournament entry fees vary by team travel choices.

Training locations and tournaments

Home training and league play center on the Sunway Soccer Complex—a facility the Rapids helped establish and that thousands of area players use each year—along with Ascension Fields. The club’s signature Canyon Rim Classic spring tournament funds scholarships, training equipment, and a summer soccer program open to area youth; the Canyon Rim Fall Classic also anchors the fall calendar with multi-day tournament play in Twin Falls.

Coaching and club mission

Every Rapids head coach holds a U.S. Soccer coaching license. The nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization aims to assemble outstanding young players in a fun environment where they improve soccer skills and learn positive life lessons through hard work and competition, while continuously raising the quality of training—including summer programming for continued skill development.
